「カリフォルニアン メキシカン グリル La Jolla の名前はカリフォルニア州のサンディエゴにある地名から名付けました。20代の頃 サーフィンが好きで訪れた街それがきっかけで波、天気、人、食べ物 、LIFESTYLE 全てに魅了され数ヶ月滞在することに！ その経験を元にカリフォルニアでとりつかれた、メキシカンフードを日本で紹介したくなり1995年にOpen しました。京都を訪れた旅行者や在住の外国人、またカリフォルニアを旅した経験のある方々に懐かしく思えたりhomeの味を感じたりしてもらえるようなメキシカンフードレストランを目指しています。」十塚圭

"Our Californian Mexican grill gets it's name, La Jolla, from an area in San Diego, California. When I was in my twenties, I went to La Jolla to go surfing and I fell in love with the waves, weather, people, the lifestyle, and the food. So, from that experience, I wanted to introduce this food to Japan and opened La Jolla in 1995. When I make my food and it makes me feel natsukashii, like it brings me back to that place, I know it is done. I hope people who've been there or live there who come here feel that." — Kei Totsuka
